Most recently, Diego Aparicio managed all local programming for two TV news channels websites in Austin and San Antonio, Texas, where he led social media and online innovation.  He also managed all editorial content for PremiosTexas.com, an interactive music awards TV show that drove over 100,000 online votes during its last two editions.

Diego Aparicio soft-launched Crónicas Texanas presenting multimedia storytelling and social media workshops at Texas State University and Texas A&M-San Antonio in 2012. That same year he served as a panelist during the Region 5 National Association of Hispanic Journalists convention held in San Antonio, Texas.

He’s also worked on several multimedia projects such as Impremedia’s Ley antiinmigrante Arizona SB1070 and the Albany Times Union’s New York’s Property Taxes Nightmare.

Vested Interests documented the stories of Ecuadorian artists working in New York. It included a long-form story and several videos in form of audio slideshows, plus a bonus video named Latin American Tales in NYC.

Other massive online specials produced while managing all local programming for Univision’s KWEX 41 and KAKW 62 are Felices FiestasValentine’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s DayHispanic Heritage Month and Halloween.
